Non-Member/Guest User Fees

This is not a commonly enforced feature of our club. Both our constitution and that of the STF's allow us to charge a fee to non-members who use our courts during membership hours. As you may have noticed, effective since the 2005 permit year, our member hours have been extended during the week.

As a club that requires continuous upkeep and in order to provide cost effective programs, we prefer all our regular players to be members. This also avoids complications with court usage (that is, sharing) between member and non-members.

A chit or a simple receipt should be issued to you when you have paid your fee. When you decide to join our club, we will be happy to apply these fees as a discount towards the regular (full price) membership costs as shown above.

We have set the visitation fees to be:

In addition, when there are special large group-type social events we tend to ask for a small fee to help cover costs, and allowing a non-member or guest to participate in games and raffles.

Miscellaneous Access Information

For those groups wishing to have a non-club tennis function within our 'permitted' time, must seek permission through the Toronto Parks & Recreation, East District Permit Office (416-392-8188).

This policy document has been updated several times since 2006 and eventually will need to be fully reviewed and approved by City Council -- defining both Summer and Winter Club operations. The essential division of city and club responsibilities continues to be described in Schedules A & B.

Similar clubs to ours can be found across the city, including the ones found here in Toronto East.  There are mainly two types of city-funded tennis facilities:
